Luay Mikkawi is a seasoned digital transformation consultant with over 18 years of experience in the industry. Luay has a deep understanding of the latest digital trends and best practices and has successfully delivered transformation projects for clients in various industries. Currently working as a Digital Transformation Manager as a freelance consultant, Luay brings a unique combination of technical expertise, strategic vision, and project management skills to every engagement.

Prior to their freelance work, Luay held several roles at different companies. At Injazat, they served as an Application Manager, responsible for customer application delivery, enhancements, digital transformation, and cloud transformation. Luay managed application customer needs, penetrated new opportunities, and achieved significant increases in department revenue or decreases in customer OPEX. Luay also served as a Production Support Manager at Injazat, ensuring the stability of critical applications through change and release management.

Before their time at Injazat, Luay worked at the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority as an IT Application Lead/Project Manager. In this role, they worked on ICT projects, prepared RFPs, conducted technical evaluations, and provided support to other project teams. Luay also played a key role in developing the organization's strategic IT vision and implementing effective processes and budgets.

Prior to joining the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, Luay worked as an Information Technology Specialist at the State Audit Institution - UAE. Luay provided effective support to Oracle E-Business Suite R12 for HRMS and major finance modules, enhanced business processes, and oversaw the development and delivery of products within the team.

Luay's career began as a Senior Oracle Technology Consultant at APPSLINK. Luay led the ERP technical team, managed implementations, and provided technical leadership to partners. Luay also worked as a Technology Consultant at ECO Consult, where they managed project management activities, monitored process quality attributes, and led the technology team for a project.

Luay Mikkawi earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Princess Sumaya University for Technology between 2000 and 2004. Luay then pursued a Master's Degree in Engineering Systems Management with a focus on IT Management at the American University of Sharjah from 2012 to 2015. Prior to their university studies, Luay attended Al Raed Al Arabi School for their high school education. In addition to their degrees, Luay has obtained several certifications, including Scrum Fundamentals Certified and Scrum Master Certified credentials from SCRUMstudy, the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice, and the ITIL V3 Foundation certification in 2013. Luay also obtained the PRINCE2 Practitioner Certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in September 2017.
