Eric Payne

Marine Biologist at Inland Seafood

Eric Payne has over 15 years of work experience in the marine industry. Eric started their career as a Senior Aquarist/Biologist at the New England Aquarium in 2008, where they focused on animal husbandry and managed the LSS design, construction, and maintenance. Eric also supervised volunteers and interns. In 2015, Eric worked as a Supervisor of Quality Assurance at National Fish and Seafood, overseeing inspections and managing a technician team. In 2016, they joined the New England Aquarium again as a Senior Aquarist, responsible for animal husbandry of various species. Eric also had experience in LSS plumbing and maintenance and possessed problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. Eric briefly worked as a Function Server at Centerplate in 2016 before joining Inland Seafood in 2018 as a Marine Biologist. In this role, they improved the water quality and filtration system for live lobsters and supervised a portion of food production. Lastly, Eric is currently the Director of Quality Assurance at Inland Lobster, a position they started in 2023.

Eric Payne completed their bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Roger Williams University from 2005 to 2008.
