Marcel Theunissen

Marcel Theunissen has an extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Marcel is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of SQUAIRE.AI, a company that specializes in Artificial Intelligence solutions. Prior to that, Marcel served as the General Manager for inMotion VR, a leading VR rehabilitation company.

Marcel has also been involved in the application of AI in healthcare as a Member of the Leadership Team for AI in Healthcare | Melbourne Meetup. Marcel has provided transformation and project management services for Creaware Pty Ltd, working with clients from different industries.

In addition, Marcel has worked as a Senior Project Manager and Business Analyst for the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria. Marcel was responsible for the end-to-end business requirements and processes, as well as the migration from Azure to AWS.

Marcel has also held roles such as Senior Project Manager for illion Australia and New Zealand, COO/Project Manager for eDNA, and Senior Manager for Business Information Services at ACSO Australia.

Early in their career, Marcel was involved in the wine industry as a Director/Marketing Manager for Wine Affairs (International) Pty Ltd and worked as a Project Manager for Bunnik Tours, a travel service provider.

Marcel Theunissen attained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology & Marketing from Fontys University of Applied Sciences between 1983 and 1987. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Digital Media Design from the Royal College of Art, completing it from 1995 to 1997.
