Skot McDonald

SKoT McDonald is a seasoned software engineer and researcher with extensive experience in audio technology and software development. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at inMusic Inc. since April 2020, SKoT has also held the position of Director at Vellocet Heavy Audio Manufacturing Concern since April 2009, focusing on audio analysis research and development. Previous roles include Lead Software and Research Engineer at ROLI and Technical Director at FXpansion, where SKoT led the development of the BFD family of acoustic drum software. Additionally, SKoT has played a significant role in community engagement as Events Coordinator at Perth Artifactory, and contributed to various software projects at tomandandy and Micromine. SKoT holds a PhD in Electronic Music Performance Cybernetics from Edith Cowan University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Western Australia.
