Louisa Ferrara-Gonzalez

Chief Clinical Officer at Innara Health

Dr. Ferrara-Gonzalez serves as Innara Health’s Chief Clinical Officer and possesses over a decade of experience providing care to neonates with a myriad of medical/developmental complexities. Her published research and lectures on the topics of neonatal swallowing mechanisms and appropriate feeding strategies are recognized internationally.

She recently served as Program Manager for the Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Program and Lead Developmental Therapist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at NYU Langone Hospital - Long Island (formerly known as Winthrop University Hospital). She currently serves as Manager to the NICU Dysphagia Research Team at NYU Langone Hospital - Long Island, where she continues to investigate evidence-based strategies for infant feeding success.

Dr. Ferrara-Gonzalez is a Board-Certified Specialist in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders through the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and is a Certified Neonatal Therapist, granted by the Neonatal Therapist Certification Board (NTCB), which she is also a board member. In addition, she is a Neonatal Touch and Massage Certified Therapist and is in the process of acquiring her Trauma-Informed Professional Certification. Dr. Ferrara-Gonzalez earned her Doctoral Degree, PhD, in Speech and Language Pathology from Adelphi University in 2018.
