Edda Aradottir

Edda Aradottir is a seasoned professional in the fields of geothermal energy and carbon capture, currently serving as a Board Member at Innargi and Chief Executive Officer at Carbfix since December 2019. Additionally, Edda holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Icelandic New Energy and has been involved in various capacities such as Member of the Board of Directors for organizations like the Geothermal Research Cluster (GEORG) and Gagnaveita Reykjavíkur. Notably, Edda was the Head of Innovation and Strategic Planning at Orkuveita Reykjavíkur, focusing on long-term reservoir management and innovation. Edda's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Theoretical Chemistry from Háskóli Íslands, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's in Theoretical Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, respectively. Experience includes project management in carbon capture projects and research at the University of Iceland and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, emphasizing reactive transport models and CO2 sequestration.
