Halstene Ancheta is an experienced educator currently serving as an Elementary Education Teacher at ICEF Public Schools since August 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Substitute Teacher in South Bay School Districts, a Math/Science Middle School Teacher at Environmental Charter Schools, and multiple student teaching positions. Halstene's international teaching background includes teaching at schools in China and Malaysia, as well as experience in library services and information literacy. Halstene holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Southern California and a full-stack web development certification, along with a CELTA qualification from ILA Vietnam.

ICEF was one of the first charter school management organizations to open in Los Angeles, and quickly became a leader in raising the achievement levels of African-American and Latino/Hispanic students in the State of California.
