Ramtin Ravanfar started their work experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2013. Ramtin then moved on to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from February 2014 to January 2015. After that, Ramtin joined the University of Florida as a Biological Scientist, where they worked on characterizing genes in transgenic lines of sugarcane and utilizing CRISPR/Cas9 for targeted genome editing in sugarcane. Ramtin also worked on characterizing the Bt toxin gene in citrus and murraya plants for Asian citrus psyllid management. In 2019, Ramtin joined InnerPlant as the Lead Plant Tissue Culture and Transformation Scientist, focusing on soybean transformation and developing methods to improve transformation frequency. Currently, Ramtin holds the position of Director of Plant Genetic Transformation at InnerPlant.
Ramtin Ravanfar completed their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Plant Biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Ramtin pursued this degree from the year 2009 to 2012.
