Miguel Cisneros-Franco

Director of Neuroscience Research at Innodem Neurosciences

Miguel Cisneros-Franco has a strong background in neuroscience research and academia. Miguel is currently the Director of Neuroscience Research at Innodem Neurosciences, a position they started in June 2021. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital) starting in June 2021.

From January 2020 to June 2021, Miguel worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics, McGill University. Before that, they pursued their PhD in Neuroscience at McGill University from September 2013 to December 2019.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Miguel also gained experience as a Mentor at Mitacs Inc., where they mentored undergraduate students in the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship program. Miguel also organized social and cultural activities during this time.

Earlier in their career, Miguel worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at UANL, where they conducted Phase III clinical trials and performed original clinical research. Miguel supervised research associates and advised medical students on their research projects, resulting in publications and travel awards.

Miguel also completed a research internship at Instituto Nacional de Neurologia y Neurocirugia 'Manuel Velasco Suarez' and had teaching experience at UANL from 2005 to 2010.

Miguel Cisneros-Franco obtained their Bachelor of Medicine from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, where they studied from 2004 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a PhD in Neuroscience at McGill University from 2012 to 2019. In addition to their educational achievements, Miguel also obtained a certification in Duolingo German Fluency: Beginner (Estimated) from Duolingo in October 2015.
