Helmut Schmid

Helmut Schmid's work experience includes various roles in the robotics and automotive industries.

Helmut currently serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at Noyes Technologies GmbH, where they provide support and advice on scaling up robotics startups.

Prior to this, they were the Interim CRO & Chairman of the Advisory Board at Innok Robotics, contributing their successful experiences to help the company grow.

Helmut Schmid also served as the CEO of Agilox Services GmbH in 2022 and as the Managing Director of Franka Emika in 2021.

From 2016 to 2021, they held the position of Managing Director Western & North Europe at Universal Robots A/S, where they were responsible for building up a German subsidiary and developing markets in various countries.

Before entering the robotics industry, Helmut Schmid had a long and successful career at Webasto Thermo & Comfort SE, serving as the Director Region Central & Eastern Europe and later as the President & CEO, implementing a successful turnaround strategy and leading the company to profitable growth.

Helmut also held various sales management roles at Webasto Thermo & Comfort SE, overseeing national and international car sales.

At DENSO, Helmut Schmid worked as a Key Account Manager OEM, managing projects and sales for German automotive companies.

Throughout their career, Helmut Schmid has demonstrated expertise in scaling up startups, strategic leadership, and sales management in the robotics and automotive industries.

Helmut Schmid attended the Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences from 1984 to 1989, where they obtained a Diploma in Engineering with a specialization in Flight Engineering. In 2006, they briefly studied Business Leadership at the University of St.Gallen, although they did not complete a degree in this field.
