Gill Norman

Gill Norman (nee Barber) currently serves as a Financial Assistant at Innova, a position held since June 2023. In addition, Gill is a voluntary member of the Initiative for Interstellar Studies since April 2014. Previous roles include Finance Administrator at Caring for Communities and People from May 2021 to May 2023, and Chief Executive Officer of the British Interplanetary Society from February 2016 to July 2020, where the title was modernized by the Board of Trustees. Gill has project management experience from a short-term assignment at Morgan Stanley in 2011, and co-directed finance and marketing at Aphelion Ltd in 2010. A career break from 2008 to 2010 involved managing a consultancy and a property portfolio. Earlier experience includes serving as Vice President and Head of L&D for European Finance at Morgan Stanley and conducting research in the Solar System Dynamics Group at Queen Mary University of London. Gill holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Bath and an MSc in Astrophysics from Queen Mary University of London.
