Matthew Gibbs

Matt Gibbs is currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at Innova since March 2023. Previously, Matt held the position of Senior Associate in the Corporate & Commercial team at Brachers LLP, where responsibilities included drafting and negotiating fuel supply agreements for an international waste-derived fuels producer. Prior to that, Matt worked at Ofgem as Manager for Offshore Transmission, focusing on license compliance and policy development. Other significant roles include Senior Manager for Legal Projects at ACWA Power, Associate in Finance & Projects at DLA Piper, Legal Counsel at Centrica Energy Trading, and Corporate & Commercial Associate specializing in Clean Energy at Eversheds Sutherland. Matt started legal training as a Trainee Solicitor at Taylor Wessing and has held temporary positions in legal and compliance. Matt holds an LLM in Commercial and Financial Law from King's College London, an LLB from the University of East Anglia, and completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School.
