John Birkenholz

John Birkenholz has several years of work experience in various engineering roles. John started their career as a Coop Intern at Maytag in 2005. John later worked as an Aerial Design Engineer Intern at Altec in 2005. From 2006 to 2012, they worked at EVOGEN INC as a Mechanical Engineer II, where they led the Automated Sample Prep (ASP) Design Team and played a key role in the development of the ASP system. John also managed the Dryclone "Air Collector" project and was responsible for delivering production systems. In 2012, they worked as a Systems Engineer at ATK, where they worked on developing test plans and utilized Confocal technology. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Product Development Engineer at Nexus Medical LLC. Since 2013, they have been working at InnovaPrep LLC as a Staff Engineer, where they support BioDefence related projects and develops novel solutions for customer needs, as well as providing legacy product support.

John Birkenholz received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University. John attended the university from 2001 to 2006.
