Corey Sullivan has a diverse work experience in various industries. Corey started their career in 2009 as a Cook, Cashier, and Waiter at Jenness Beach Pizza & Grill. In 2013, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Goss International, where they gained experience in material property testing, sensor research, and database management.
From 2014 to 2019, Corey worked at the University of New Hampshire as a Research Engineering Assistant and later as a Research Engineer for the School of Marine Science and Ocean Engineering. Corey focused on designing, constructing, deploying, and analyzing open-ocean aquaculture systems. Corey was also involved in multiple research projects, including macroalgae farm structures and multi-trophic aquaculture surface gravity cages.
Corey joined Innovasea in 2019 as an Ocean Engineer and Grid & Mooring Specialist. Corey was responsible for submersible fish pen design, on-site sensing and communication platforms, and structural and dynamic analysis. In 2022, they transitioned to the role of Ocean Engineer II and Project Coordinator, where they continued their focus on grid and mooring design.
In addition to their professional experience, Corey worked as a Manager and Web Project Manager at Summer Sessions Surf Shop from 2010 to 2020. Corey instructed students in surfing and led children's surf camp groups, ensuring a safe learning environment.
Corey Sullivan completed their education with a Master's Degree in Ocean Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, which they pursued during the period from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, studying from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Corey has also obtained certifications such as a NAUI SCUBA DIVE LICENSE from NAUI Worldwide in May 2016 and being recognized as a Solidworks Certified Associate by Solidworks in December 2010.
