Geoff Walton

Geoff Walton has a diverse work history in the aquaculture and field operations field. Geoff currently works at Innovasea as a Program Manager, a role they have held since 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Open Blue Sea Farms, Inc. as an R&D Field Operations Manager from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they were responsible for recruiting, developing, and guiding field R&D staff, as well as testing and refining open-ocean aquaculture systems.

Before their time at Open Blue Sea Farms, Geoff worked at The Island School from 2004 to 2014 and Cape Eleuthera Institute from 2004 to 2014, both as a Technical Advisor and Director of Systems. In these positions, they managed capital improvement projects and renovations for net-zero energy buildings, as well as the daily operations, maintenance, and facilities of multiple campuses in a remote tropical setting.

Geoff also has experience as the Owner of Port Madison Trading Company from 2002 to 2004, where they provided diving services and marine surveys to the aquaculture industry, including maintaining and installing offshore aquaculture fish cages. Prior to this, they worked as an Installation Technician at Net Systems, Inc. from 2000 to 2004 and Ocean Spar Technologies from 1995 to 2000, managing logistics for the installation of offshore aquaculture fish cages and conducting site surveys.
