Richard Jones, P.E., PMP has over 17 years of work experience in roles related to aquaculture engineering, project management, and field service engineering. Richard currently works at Innovasea as an Aquaculture Engineer and Senior Project Manager. Previously, they worked at Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems, Inc for 9 years, where they served as an Engineering Project Leader, Field Service Engineer, and System Engineer. Richard also gained experience in research and development at North Carolina State University as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and Aquaculture Research Technician. Richard started their career at the New England Aquarium as a Coordinator of Fishes and Husbandry/Aquarist and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection as a Resource Assistant-Inland Fisheries.

Richard Jones, P.E., PMP has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries Science from the University of Rhode Island, which they obtained from 1996 to 2001. Richard also holds a Master of Science degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from North Carolina State University, which they earned from 2008 to 2010.

In addition to their academic achievements, Richard has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Richard became a Professional Engineer (PE) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2016. Richard is also a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified by the Project Management Institute since October 2020. Richard has further demonstrated their expertise in project management by obtaining the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2022.

Richard Jones has also pursued their interests in diving and has obtained various certifications in this field. Richard became an Open Water Diver through PADI in November 2002. Richard later achieved the Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI in August 2005. Richard became a Rescue Diver through NAUI Worldwide in September 2005, showcasing their commitment to safety and expertise in diving.
