Shannon Allen

Shannon Allen currently serves as the Program Director for HBCU Engagement at Innovate Alabama, a position held since December 2023. Previously, Shannon held several key roles at the Birmingham Business Alliance, including Director of Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives, where responsibilities included managing initiatives aimed at creating 20,000 new jobs and activating 10,000 workers over five years, and leading the Creative Services department to produce impactful visual content. Shannon's experience also includes serving as Executive Assistant and Operations Manager at Southern Carbide Technologies, Creative Arts Director at Daystar Family Church, and various roles in quality inspection and digital media at Formel D Group and The University of Alabama. Shannon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from The University of Alabama in 2010.
