Jakiera Lucy

Jakiera Lucy is an experienced Mathematics and Computer Science Teacher at Cornerstone Schools of Alabama since August 2018. Currently, Jakiera is also a student at Innovate Birmingham, specializing in Full Stack and Front End Web Development through a coding bootcamp, mastering HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, ReactJS, and SQL. Previously, Jakiera taught mathematics and physical education at St. Barnabas Catholic School, where responsibilities included coordinating extracurricular activities. Jakiera has a background as a Retail and Data Market Analyst at Old National Bank, focusing on risk management and data collection. Jakiera also served as a Student Tutor at Alabama State University, assisting college students with mathematics, and worked as a Camp Counselor promoting STEM education during summer camps. Jakiera holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Alabama State University, completed in 2015.
