Katherine Zachara

Katherine Zachara is the current Executive Director at Innovate Birmingham. Katherine has a long history of working in the public sector to improve outcomes for communities. Prior to their current position, Katherine was the Senior Network Director at United Way of Salt Lake from October 2017 to December 2020. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of six people to award and evaluate a grant portfolio valued over $2 million. Katherine also developed UWSL's civic partnerships strategy and supervised a team to implement this model in seven communities in Utah.

From January 2014 to March 2017, Katherine was the Manager, Programs and Strategy Research at Management & Training Corporation. In this role, they were responsible for conducting research on programs and strategies, developing proposals, and writing reports.

Katherine has a proven track record of improving outcomes for communities through their work in the public sector. Katherine is an excellent leader and manager, with a commitment to excellence and efficiency.

Katherine Zachara has a Master of International Affairs from The George Washington University in Conflict and Conflict Resolution. Katherine also has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boston College.
