Pedro Carvalho

Pedro Carvalho is an experienced professional in agronomy and plant sciences, currently serving as a Knowledge Transfer Manager for Innovate UK Business Connect since May 2020. Previously, Pedro held positions including Chief Crop Scientist at Azotic Technologies Ltd, where oversight of European and Asian field trials was a key responsibility, managing a team of agronomists and extensive projects valued over £500k. Pedro’s background includes serving as a Research Fellow at The University of Nottingham, where management of EU and BBSRC funded projects was prominent, as well as roles at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa and Instituto de Ciência Aplicada e Tecnologia, focusing on environmental impact assessments and ecological evaluations. Pedro holds a PhD in Crop Science from the University of Nottingham and a combined BSc and MSc in Biology with a focus on Plant Physiology from the University of Évora.
