Jennifer Lazare

Jennifer Lazare is an experienced Biotechnology Education and Training Specialist at InnovATEBIO since August 2019, based at Austin Community College. In addition to this role, Jennifer has served as a Biology/Biotechnology Adjunct Professor at Austin Community College since December 2003 and as an Academic Dean and Instructional Coach at Hays Consolidated Independent from August 2018 to May 2024. Prior experience includes biotechnology consulting at the AC2 Bio-link Regional Center and teaching as a Science Instructor in the Austin Independent School District. Jennifer also contributed to the Texas Education Agency from 2008 to 2012 as a Curriculum Design and Training Specialist, developing professional development modules and high school curricula. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Molecular Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University, along with a Principal Certification in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
