Derek V. has extensive work experience in the banking industry. Derek began their career at Affinity Credit Union in 2008, where they served as Vice President of Technology until 2010. Derek then transitioned to various roles at Affinity Credit Union from 2011 to 2019, including Advice Centre Manager, Strategic Development Manager, and Program Manager for Innovation & Special Projects. In 2019, they joined Innovation Federal Credit Union as Vice President of Strategy & Innovation.

Derek V. attended the University of Saskatchewan from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Marketing.
