Kearstin Piper Brown

Kearstin Piper Brown is a distinguished leader in the classical music community, currently serving as Chairperson of the Board for the Gateways Music Festival, where the mission focuses on enhancing the visibility of classical musicians of African descent. Since August 2015, Kearstin has been a casual host on WXXI 91.5 Classical Radio and has been a member of the Board of Directors for the William Warfield Scholarship Fund Inc. Additionally, Kearstin worked as a consultant and facilitator for The Antiracism Academy until October 2022. Kearstin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Musicology and Ethnomusicology from Spelman College and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature from Northwestern University.
