Walker Higgins

Walker Higgins is the Country Director for IPA's Liberia and Sierra Leone offices, working with support from IPA Nigeria Country Director, Emeka Eluemunor. He was previously Research Manager at IPA Liberia, overseeing a portfolio spanning social protection, health, education, and agriculture; providing technical support on projects; and managing financial and administrative operations. Prior to joining IPA, Walker consulted with Babban Gona, a Nigerian agricultural social enterprise, where he developed a risk assessment tool to predict the creditworthiness of smallholder maize farmers. He also worked on projects with the Earth Institute in Colombia and the Akshaya Patra Foundation in India. Walker received his MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University and a BA (Honors) in Economics from the University of Washington.
