Lars Thording has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in 1996, they have served as a Visiting Scholar and Lecturer at University College Dublin and Arizona State University West. In 2000, they joined the University of Southern Denmark as an Assistant Professor of Marketing, where they were responsible for developing the school's e-learning program and executive programs. Lars also taught graduate classes in Marketing Communications and in Service Marketing. In 2002, they began working as a Lecturer at Arizona State University.
In 2005, Lars Thording joined Six Degrees as the Director of Strategy and Research. During their three-year tenure, they increased revenue four-fold and positioned the agency for leadership in the unique healthcare qualitative market research and brand position development. Lars also developed brand strategies for several blockbuster pharma brands.
In 2008, Lars Thording began working at Stryker Sustainability Solutions as the Senior Director of Marketing and Public Affairs. Lars was responsible for integrated marketing communications, branding, public affairs, media relations, and product management.
In 2012, Lars Thording joined Intralign as the VP of Marketing and Public Affairs. Lars was responsible for driving recognition and awareness of Intralign's unique solutions. That same year, they also began working as an Advisor to the Alliance Healthcare Fund, a medical device and healthcare service delivery fund.
In 2016, Lars Thording became the Chief Engagement Officer at Genius Avenue, where they were responsible for Marketing, PR and Strategy as well as Genius Avenue's Engagement/Business Intelligence activities.
Finally, in 2017, Lars Thording joined Innovative Health LLC as the VP of Marketing and Public Affairs. Their role was to introduce a targeted, high-impact Cardiology program to realize the largest possible savings from using reprocessed single-use devices.
Lars Thording began their educational journey in 1984, when they graduated from Sct Knuds Gymnasium with a High School diploma. Lars then attended Aarhus University from 1987 to 1989, where they earned an Associate degree in Theology. After that, they attended Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark from 1989 to 1991, where they earned a BA in International Commerce. Lars continued their studies at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark from 1991 to 1993, earning a MA in International Commerce. In 1996 and 1997, Lars Thording attended Jobs in Denmark, where they earned a B.Ed. in Educational Sociology. Finally, they returned to Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark from 1995 to 2000, where they earned a Ph.D. in International Marketing.
