Paul E. Smithers

Paul E. Smithers is the current Chief Executive Officer, President, and Director at Innovative Industrial Properties. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Legal Officer and Co-Founder of BST NanoCarbon from July 2013 to August 2015. Smithers has also worked as an attorney at the law firm of ropers majeski from January 1982 to August 1987.

Paul E. Smithers attended Santa Clara University School of Law and earned their Doctor of Law degree. Paul also holds a BS from San Diego State University. Paul is certified by the State Bar of California.
