Fred Couch has a diverse range of work experience in the field of GIS and data analysis. Fred started their career as a Geographer at USGS, where they worked on the creation and updating of DLGs for a DGIS project. Fred then moved on to Level 3 Communications, where they served as a GIS Analyst/System Analyst, determining requirements for cable location systems. At Maptuit Corporation, Fred worked as a GIS Analyst/Data Team Lead, performing GIS tasks to support a truck routing and logistics application. Fred then joined Intermap Technologies as a GIS Analyst, compiling and converting data for GPS and navigation devices. Fred went on to work at Synchronoss Technologies as a GeoData Analyst/Customer Service, building and deploying spatial databases for the telecom industry. At Pacific Western Technologies, they served as a Sr GIS Analyst QA, ensuring the quality of data for highways and roads in national parks using various tools and programming languages. Currently, Fred is a Software Developer/GIS Analyst at Innovative Management Concepts, Inc., where they develop scripts and applications for DOT's Road Inventory Program and performs GIS analysis. Throughout their career, Fred has consistently demonstrated proficiency in GIS software, Oracle, and programming languages such as Python and VBA.
Fred Couch attended Metropolitan State University of Denver from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, Planning, and Environmental Science with a particular emphasis on Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
