Jamila J. has over 20 years of professional experience. Jamila began their career in 1998 as a Linguist/Interrogator for the US Army. In 2007, they became the CEO of Innovative Solutions Technology, a company specializing in Cybersecurity and Risk Management Solutions. In 2012, they took on the role of President of Innovative Community Solutions, a website located at www.ics-wv.com.

Jamila J. is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity Management and Policy from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which is expected to be completed in 2022. In 2020, they earned a Network Security Expert (NSE) Level 3 from Fortinet NSE Institute. In 2018-2019, they obtained a Backup Specialist certification from Acronis Professional Certification. Between 2011 and 2013, Jamila earned a Certificate in Virtualization from Citrix Professional Education, and between 2008 and 2009, they earned a Certificate in Storage from EMC Education. Jamila also attended Howard University from 1993 to 1995. In addition to these qualifications, Jamila has obtained several certifications, including Technical Sales Foundations for IBM Security Data Protection Professional V1 from IBM in 2020, Citrix ShareFile in 2017, and Technical Sales Foundations for IBM QRadar for Cloud (QRoC) V1 from IBM Professional Certification.
