Dr. Kamalesh Sarkar

Dr. Kamalesh Sarkar is a seasoned medical researcher with extensive experience in public health and epidemiology. Currently serving as a Medical Researcher at Innovative Solutions since July 2024, Dr. Sarkar previously held the role of Professor in the Department of Public Health at NSHM Knowledge Campus from August 2023 to June 2024. Dr. Sarkar's tenure as Former Director at the National Institute of Occupational Health from December 2017 to February 2023 involved critical research on the initial viral load's implications for COVID-19 transmission. Earlier experience includes significant roles as a Medical Scientist at the National Institute of Cholera & Enteric Diseases, and as Regional Epidemiologist for the Ministry of Health Affairs in Oman, focusing on communicable and non-communicable disease control. Dr. Sarkar holds an MD in Public Health from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and an MBBS from Calcutta Medical College.
