Jakub Sochor

Jakub Sochor has extensive work experience in research and development, artificial intelligence, software engineering, computer vision, and IT security risk management. Jakub is currently employed as the Head of Research and Development at Innovatrics since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an AI Solution Expert/Teamleader at Innovatrics from June 2021 to February 2023. Before joining Innovatrics, Jakub worked as a Software Engineer at Google from August 2019 to March 2021. Jakub also served as a Senior Deep Learning Engineer at PTC from August 2018 to July 2019. Jakub's earlier experiences include working as a Computer Vision Researcher at Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Information Technology from November 2013 to July 2018, and as a Software Engineering Intern at Honeywell in June 2013. Jakub'scareer began as an IT Security Risk Manager at Fio banka in June 2010, where they worked until April 2013.

Jakub Sochor's education history began in 2005 when they attended Nicolas Copernicus Grammar School in Bílovec, where they studied math. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at Brno University of Technology in 2009 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology in 2012. Jakub then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science, with a focus on Mathematical Methods in Information Technology and Computer Vision, from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, Jakub Sochor pursued further academic excellence by enrolling at Brno University of Technology's Faculty of Information Technology for a Ph.D. in Computer Vision, which they successfully completed in 2018. In addition to their formal education, Jakub Sochor attended the BMVA Summer School in 2012, where they focused on Computer Vision.
