Aktar Somalya has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Aktar has held positions such as Vice President of Product Management at Innovid since 2022.
Before that, Aktar was a Product Advisory Board Member at Earth Blox from 2021 onwards.
From 2017 to 2022, they worked at TVSquared as Director of Product Management, where they managed the company's products and roadmap, driving innovation and commercial value.
In 2017, Aktar also served as an Interim Product Director in the Internet and Technology sector.
Earlier in their career, from 2015 to 2017, they were a Trustee and Board Member at Dyslexia Action, providing strategic guidance and support to the executive team.
Aktar was also the VP Product and Marketing at trust-hub ltd, a role in which they led product development and marketing operations.
As an Interim Product and Propositions Director, they contributed to DirectID Ltd and Sumdog Ltd, developing product roadmaps and marketing strategies.
Prior to that, from 2013 to 2015, Aktar worked as the Director of Product Marketing, Customer Engagement, and Insight at Skyscanner, growing the business and leading a team.
From 2010 to 2013, they held the position of VP Product and Market Intelligence at LIME, and from 2008 to 2010, they were the Head of Propositions and Segmentation Strategy at Virgin Media, where they spearheaded the launch of new propositions and implemented segmentation strategies.
Aktar Somalya completed an MEng degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford from 1989 to 1993. Then, from 2004 to 2006, Aktar pursued an MBA degree in Business Administration from Henley Business School.
