Michael Comerford

Michael Comerford has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Michael is currently working as a Lead Data Scientist at Innovid since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at TVSquared by Innovid from August 2017 to September 2022.

Before joining Innovid, Michael worked at Agile Solutions, GB as a Data Scientist & Pre-sales Consultant from January 2016 to August 2017. In this role, they provided technical pre-sales support for various domains, including building proof-of-concepts, software demonstration, and solution design. Michael also supported the internal business operations with cloud applications and management information reporting.

In 2014, Michael worked as a Scientific Computing Officer: Research Data Scientist at Urban Big Data Centre from September 2014 to December 2015. Prior to this, they were an Intern at Policy Scotland from October 2013 to December 2015, where they supported the team in multimedia content creation, data analysis, and website administration.

Michael's educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow, where they worked as a PhD student from September 2010 to December 2015. Michael also worked as a Statistical Disclosure Control Officer at The Scottish Government in April 2014 and as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Minnesota in July 2013.

Additionally, Michael has experience as an Intern in the Care Team, Health Analytical Services Division at The Scottish Government from March 2012 to June 2012. Michael also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Stirling from February 2010 to December 2011.

Michael Comerford completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Politics from Brunel University London from 2003-2008. Michael then pursued a Master of Science degree in Russian, Central & East European Studies from the University of Glasgow from 2008-2009. Following that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Applied Social Research from the University of Stirling from 2009-2010. Finally, they completed their education with a PhD in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow from 2010-2015.

In addition to their academic degrees, Michael Comerford obtained several certifications. In 2015, they earned the certifications of "R Programming" and "Getting and Cleaning Data" from Coursera Verified Certificates. In 2016, they obtained the certifications of "Reproducible Research" and "Exploratory Data Analysis" from Coursera Course Certificates. Michael also earned the certification of "SAS Certified Visual Business Analyst: Exploration and Design Using SAS Visual Analytics" from SAS and the "Cloud Data Integration Specialist" certification from Informatica.
