Shambhu Aryal

Shambhu Aryal serves as the Medical Director for the Lung Transplant program and Inova Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence at Inova Fairfax Hospital since December 2021. Aryal has been an Advanced Lung Disease Physician and Transplant pulmonologist at Inova Health System since June 2017, where Aryal also directs the Comprehensive Sarcoidosis Center. Previous positions include Assistant Professor and Transplant pulmonologist at Duke University Health System from July 2013 to June 2017, and Assistant Professor and Pulmonary and Critical Care Attending at the University of Kentucky from July 2012 to June 2013. Educational background includes training at Duke University, the University of Kentucky, Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center, and Tribhuvan University, where Aryal earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.
