Barbara Gillan

In the mid-1970’s, Barbara started her career as an assistant working with students with special needs at Elliott Elementary in Munster. She transitioned to teach a 2nd-grade general education classroom shortly afterward. At the end of her first year, she was elected to pursue a graduate degree in special education services. Upon completing her M.A., she returned to Elliott in Munster as a special education teacher.
