Carlos R Vargas-Montero is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles, currently serving as Chief of Staff to the President, Spinout Design Director, and Director of Professional Services at Input Output (IOHK) since April 2018. In addition to board memberships at Preparato and TAG Sales Accelerator, Carlos's previous experience includes a Software Development Engineer position at Amazon, where foundational skills in functional programming and web application development were established, as well as a tenure at Hewlett-Packard, leading software projects and firmware development. Carlos's educational background includes advanced degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science from INCAE Business School and Tecnológico de Costa Rica, supplemented by a recent certification in Product Management from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business.
