Vangelis Markakis

Vangelis Markakis is a prominent academic in the field of Computer Science, currently serving as a Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor at Athens University of Economics and Business since October 2014. In addition, Vangelis Markakis holds the position of Research Fellow at Input Output (IOHK) since September 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University in 2014, and as a Lecturer at Athens University of Economics and Business from March 2009 to February 2014. Vangelis Markakis also worked as a Post-doctoral Researcher at Centrum voor Wiskunde en Informatica from January 2007 to July 2008 and at the University of Toronto from August 2005 to December 2006. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc. and PhD in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, obtained between 2000 and 2005, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, completed in 2000.
