Shanti Elangovan

Shanti Elangovan began their career in 2005 as a Corporate Relations Associate at the Chicago Children's Museum. In 2009, they became a Science Teacher at The Family School. In 2010, they joined Willowwind School as the Director of Mentorship, Technology Coordinator, and 5/6 Lead Teacher. In 2014, they became a Fellow at Education Pioneers. In 2016, they joined the National Center for Teacher Residencies as the Director of Solution Delivery and Associate Program Director. Finally, in 2017, they founded inquirED, where they currently serve as CEO and Founder.

Shanti Elangovan has a diverse educational background, beginning with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Boston University, which they completed in 2004. Shanti then went on to pursue a Master of Public Health in International Public Health/International Health at Boston University, which they completed in 2007. In 2008, they earned a Master of Arts in Inclusive Elementary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Shanti then returned to school in 2013 and earned a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Innovation from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business in 2015. Additionally, Shanti holds certifications in Childhood Education/Elementary from New York and Elementary Education (K-6) from Iowa.
