David Gambacorta is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in various writing roles. Currently serving as Writer-at-Large for the Philadelphia Inquirer since February 2017, David has also contributed as a Freelance Writer for multiple publications including The Ringer, Longreads, Politico Magazine, Esquire, The Marshall Project, The Baffler, and Philly Mag since November 2015. Prior to that, David worked as a Senior Reporter for Philadelphia Magazine from March 2016 to January 2017 and spent over a decade at the Philadelphia Daily News as a Crime and Politics Reporter. David began the writing career as a Contributing Writer and Editorial Assistant at MetroKids Magazine and the South Philadelphia Review between 2003 and 2005. Education was completed at Temple University from 2001 to 2005.
