David Murphy

David Murphy has been a sports columnist at The Philadelphia Inquirer since February 2008. David previously worked as a reporter at The St. Petersburg Times and The Myrtle Beach Sun News. At The St. Petersburg Times, they covered high school sports and various general assignment topics. At The Myrtle Beach Sun News, they covered the Coastal Carolina University athletics department.

David Murphy completed their undergraduate degree at La Salle University, where they studied communication and media studies. David then went on to pursue a career in media and communications.

They are on a team with Les Bowen - Eagles Columnist, Mike Jensen - Enterprise & Projects Columnist, and Keith Pompey - Sixers Columnist. David Murphy reports to Gary Potosky, Sports Editor.
