Ronan Kapetanovic

Ronan Kapetanovic is a distinguished researcher specializing in immunology, with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Fellow at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, Ronan focuses on the role of histone deacetylases (HDACs) in immunology and metabolism to identify new antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory treatment targets. Prior to this, significant contributions were made as a Senior Research Officer at UQ, where Ronan discovered new antimicrobial pathways associated with Zinc, mitochondria, and lipid droplets.
