Vazken Andréassian

Vazken Andréassian is the Director of the HYCAR Research Unit, leading research in hydrology and freshwater ecology at INRAE since 2020. They previously held roles as a Scientific Animator and Deputy Scientific Director at Irstea, and contributed to the establishment of the ACBA Cooperative Agricultural Bank. With a diverse educational background, Vazken earned a Master's degree in Watershed Management from the University of Arizona and is pursuing a PhD in Hydrology and Water Resources Science at Université Pierre et Marie Curie. They have also served as a Scientific Attaché at the French Embassy in Armenia and as a Corresponding Member of the Académie d'agriculture de France.
