Radu Patrice Horaud

Radu Patrice Horaud is a Senior Research Scientist at INRIA since 1998, where Radu founded and leads the PERCEPTION team, focusing on research areas such as computer vision, auditory scene analysis, sensor fusion, machine learning, and robot perception. Radu received an ERC Advanced Grant for the five-year project VHIA "Vision and Hearing in Action." Prior to INRIA, Radu was a Senior Research Scientist at CNRS from March 1984 to September 1998 and served as a Computer Scientist at SRI International from January 1982 to February 1984 as a postdoctoral research fellow. Radu earned a PhD in Computer Science from Grenoble INP between 1974 and 1981, and pursued mathematics and physics studies at Lycée Saint-Louis and Lycée Chaptal. Radu began education at Mihai Viteazul from 1968 to 1972.
