Fernando Fernández

Chief Scientific Officer and Founder at Inrobics

Fernando Fernández's work experience includes being a Visiting Scholar at The University of Texas at Austin, where they are collaborating on the study of Reinforcement Learning algorithms and their application to social assistive robotics. Fernando is also the Chief Scientific Officer and Founder of Inrobics. Previously, they were the Director of the Planning and Learning Group and a Full Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where they led research projects focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence for the control of autonomous social robots. Fernando has also served as the Head of Fintech Master at the same institution. Additionally, Fernández has been a Principal Investigator at JPMorgan Chase & Co., working on projects related to Adversarial Reinforcement Learning and Learning Similarity Metrics Between Simulation and the Real World. Fernando has had postdoctoral and research positions at Carnegie Mellon University, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Fernando Fernández pursued a PhD in Computer Science from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, starting in 1999 and successfully completing it in 2003. In 2004 and 2005, they attended Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. No degree was specified for their time at Carnegie Mellon University.
