Norbert Frischauf

Norbert Frischauf has a long and varied career in the aerospace industry. Norbert began their career in 1997 as the Founder and Member of the Executive Board of the Austrian Space Forum (OeWF). In 1999, they joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Future Studies Systems Engineer and Emerging Technologies Expert, providing technical support for ESA's Aurora Programme. In 2006, they became the Managing Director of QASAR Technologie(s) in Vienna, Austria, where they represented the company, decided on the company strategy, and conducted scientific experiments related to Alfvén wave innovations. That same year, they also began working as an Expert at the European GNSS Agency, where they were responsible for GNSS-related activities at the GJU, the European Commission, and the GSA. In 2010, they became an Experte im Bereich Weltraum (Aerospace Expert) at the Österreichisches Bundesheer (Austrian Armed Forces). In 2011, they took on the role of Director of European Operations at Shackleton Energy Company. In 2015, they became the Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder of OffWorld, where they worked to solve critical global challenges of energy and desalinized water with a single off-world infrastructure. Finally, in 2012, they joined SpaceTec Partners as a Partner.

Norbert Frischauf's education history began in 1990 when they completed a Master's Degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics (Technische Physik) at the Technische Universität Wien. In 1994, they earned a BSc. in Astronomy from the University of Vienna. During this time, they also attended three summer schools, one at the International Space University, one at the ASA/ESA Summerschool in Alpbach for "Mission to the Moon: Science of the Moon, Science from the Moon", and one at the ASA/ESA Summerschool in Alpbach for "Solar Terrestrial Relations". In 2005, they completed a Mini-MBA Course. In 2007, they completed a Strategic Leadership Course and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering at the Technical University Graz.
