Barry Donovan, M.S. has a diverse work experience. Barry began their career in 2012 as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina A&T State University, where they inseminated sows for piglet breeding, administered a strict experimental diet to sows in part of a two trial study, and administered oxytocin doses to aid in milk letdown for sample collection. In 2014, they held two positions: Veterinary Assistant at Park Veterinary Hospital and Animal Husbandry Technician at the National Institutes of Health. At the Veterinary Hospital, they provided information on advised medical procedures, medications, and retail products, prepared treatment rooms, assisted in handling patients and administering treatment, collected urine and fecal samples, conducted laboratory tests, and recorded administered treatments. At the National Institutes of Health, they maintained animal facilities for rodent studies, administered arsenic dosing for neurological studies, and distributed special dietary supplementation for dietary studies. In 2016, they became a Research Technician at Burleson Research Technologies, Inc. (BRT), where they conducted experiments that utilized skill with ELISA, ELISpot, flow cytometry and cellular culture and proliferation assays to achieve results for varying immunological and toxicological studies. Barry was also responsible for observations, measurements, and results compilation for the Study Director to review. In 2017, they joined BioAgilytix as a Business Development Associate and Analyst III, where they served as lead analyst on sample analysis, trouble shot assays as well as ran them independently, compiled, processed, and peer reviewed data, adhered to provided method, directive and safety requirements, was responsible for accurate record keeping with regards to sponsor’s samples, data, and reports, prepared buffers and ordered reagents, and kept accurate inventory of supplies for assays. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as an Inside Sales Representative at Inscopix, Inc.

Barry Donovan, M.S. graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Animal Sciences in 2011 and with a Master of Science (M.S.) in Agricultural and Environmental Systems in 2016. In 2014, they obtained an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification from AALAS, and in 2016 they obtained a Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Beginner (Estimated) certification from Duolingo.
