Rick Kaplan has over 26 years of experience in the investment management industry. He joined Inscription Capital in 2019 as a Portfolio Manager. Rick oversees both Large-Cap Equity and Fixed Income Portfolios. Prior to joining Inscription Capital, he was a Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Legacy Asset Management, a Registered Investment Advisory Firm established in 1998. Mr. Kaplan has a BS from the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama and an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University. Upon completion of his graduate studies, he started his investment career at Texas Commerce Bank/Chase Bank of Texas as a Trust Officer and a Credit Analyst for the Investment Management Group. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2001 and is a member of the Houston Society of Financial Analysts. Rick is actively involved in the Houston community. He serves on the Board of Trustees and is Chairman of the finance committee for the Emery/Weiner School. He is on the board of the Houston Holocaust Museum Foundation, and the finance committee at Congregation Beth Israel.
