Francisco Veloso

Francisco Veloso currently serves as Dean at INSEAD since September 2023. In addition to this role, Francisco Veloso holds positions as Non Executive Board Member at both Arica Holding B.V. and Movendo Capital B.V. since 2017 and 2021 respectively. An academic career at Carnegie Mellon University spans from August 2002 to the present, where roles have included Full Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Prior to the current role at INSEAD, Francisco Veloso was Dean at Imperial College Business School from August 2017 to September 2023 and has held various academic and board positions at other institutions, including Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics and CAIXA GERAL DE DEPOSITOS, S.A. Educational qualifications include a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2001), a Master of Science from ISEG (1996), and a BSc in Physics Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (1992).
