Katie Surma

Katie Surma is a journalist who covers international environmental law and justice at InsideClimate News. Prior to their current role, Katie was an attorney practicing in commercial litigation at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC. Katie has also served as a CASA Volunteer, Legislative Assistant, and US Policy and Advocacy Researcher at various organizations. With a background in law and journalism, Katie holds degrees in Investigative Journalism, International Rule of Law and Security, and a J.D. cum laude.
