Silva Stoughton MS, CCDM

Silva Stoughton MS, CCDM has a diverse work experience in the clinical data management field. Silva is currently working as a Clinical Data Management Consultant at Insight Clinical Consulting, where they are responsible for various data management activities throughout the study process. This includes tasks such as creating guidelines, testing and ensuring the quality of databases, managing data review meetings, and finalizing study archival.

Prior to their current role, Silva worked at Synteract for a significant period of time. Silva started as a Senior Clinical Data Coordinator in 2008 and progressed to roles such as Clinical Data Manager, Clinical Data Manager II, and ultimately, as a Senior Clinical Data Manager. During their time at Synteract, Silva gained experience in various aspects of clinical data management.

In addition to their clinical data management roles, Silva also worked as a Preclinical Drug Development Associate at Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. in 2008. Silva contributed to preclinical drug development activities during their short tenure at the company.

Before joining Acadia Pharmaceuticals, Silva was a Research Associate III, In Vivo Pharmacology at TargeGen, Inc. from 2004 to 2008. In this role, they designed and conducted in vivo models to support early phase drug discovery in a wide range of therapeutic areas.

Prior to that, Silva earned an Associate's degree in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician and Veterinary Assistant from Mesa Community College from 2000 to 2002. Silva's undergraduate degree is a Bachelor's degree in Biology from San Diego State University, which was completed from 1995 to 2000. Additionally, Silva holds a certification as a Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM) from the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM).
