Kingsley Odigie

Health Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science

Kingsley Odigie is a Health Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science since January 2020, where significant contributions include predicting overdose mortality in California using opioid prescription data and developing a web application on Amazon Web Services EC2. Prior to this, Kingsley served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Riverside, from July 2016 to December 2019, focusing on the mobilization of toxic elements in relation to human and environmental health. Experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the U.S. Geological Survey, investigating groundwater flooding impacts due to sea level rise, and as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where studies examined wildfire-related toxic element mobilization. Kingsley earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science and Forensic Science from San Jose State University.
